at last the website
Ever since I worked with the wonderful and simpatica Linda Lee back in late August — nearly two months ag0 — I have not gone NEAR this new technical tool called Wordpress and have rarely checked my website. Today I cancelled the woman downstairs who was going to help me organize my new living space (a constant source of procrastination and obessive concern), planning to devote the time to this terrifying new tool. WEBSITES AND THE INTERNET TERRIFY ME. as I grow older, I find technical info harder and harder to digest. call it overwhelm with incoming stimuli. Yesterday it was a tremendous feat simply to master the simple manual on how to operate my new pressure cooker–I finally managed to cook black beans.
anyway–here I am facing the dragon of the New Age–the internet.

Hello Maria,
I met you briefly yesterday evening at the JCL. I look forward to reading Incognito. As a poet, I am interested in psychological premise so loved the opening of your book. I’ve long been interested in Spain 1492 and was intrigued by the fact you chose to approach the subject from the perspective of “hiding.”
You might also be interested in checking out the online literary journal qarrtsiluni (that is the speliing) I am very admiring of their journal, the work of two editors Beth and Dave. There are also poems of mine. You might like to have a look at “Go My Uncle and Fetch the Bride.” It relates to last night’s discussion. The question of artfulness vs. combat. To me a quiet statement can be a powerful one! A bridge not everyone accepts.
All best,
Jane
